Establishment of an Industry Skills Center for Plastics Processing at the Mechanical School Complex No. 2 in Bydgoszcz
The City of Bydgoszcz, together with the Bydgoszcz Industrial Cluster Tool Valley and the Mechanical School Complex, is implementing a project co-financed by the NATIONAL RECOVERY AND RESILIENCE PLAN. The project aims to establish and support the operation of 120 industry-specific skill centers (BCUs), in line with the concept of Centers of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs).
The main goal of the project is to prepare a workforce for the economy in the field of plastic processing and to support the operation of the Industry Skill Center in this area until June 30, 2026.
A total of at least 300 participants will be trained, including: 90 young people aged 14-24, 180 adults who are not vocational education teachers, and 30 vocational education teachers.
The trained individuals will serve as a potential workforce for the plastic processing industry, which is highly developed in Bydgoszcz and the surrounding region (Bydgoszcz is known as the “Tool Valley”).
Project implementation period: January 1, 2023 – June 30, 2026.
Total funding: 5,206,960.53 PLN.
