Making informed educational and career choices is one of the most important steps in preparing young people to enter the job market. As a cluster representing the tooling and processing industry, we are committed to supporting career guidance programs by providing students with direct access to industrial enterprises and showing them what everyday work in modern industry looks like.

In the 2024/2025 school year, we successfully organized 33 career orientation visits, reaching 520 students from primary and secondary schools. These visits were made possible thanks to close cooperation with our member companies and the strong engagement of schools that recognize the importance of practical career education.

What happened during the visits?

Each visit went far beyond touring production lines or seeing industrial halls. Our main goal was to provide students with real-world insights into technical professions, their significance in the economy, and the diverse career paths the industry offers.

During the visits, students had the opportunity to:

🔹 explore different departments within industrial companies,
🔹 talk directly with employees and specialists about their career paths,
🔹 learn which skills are most valued in the tooling and processing industry,
🔹 gain a better understanding of the practical aspects of technical jobs,
🔹 discover that industry is a dynamic environment offering development, learning, and the chance to pursue ambitious career goals.

For many young people, this was their first real interaction with the labor market. Experiences like these have a powerful influence on future education and career decisions. Often, it is only after such visits that students begin to see the true potential of technical fields like production, automation, mechanics, or processing.

Our Companies – Committed to Education

None of this would have been possible without the tremendous support and openness of our member companies, who welcomed students into their facilities and shared their knowledge and experience. They showed that the industry is not just a place for experienced professionals, but also a space full of opportunities for young, ambitious people at the start of their careers.

What’s next?

We’re not slowing down! We are already working on the next edition of the career orientation program and planning new educational initiatives for the 2025/2026 school year. The interest shown by schools and the enthusiastic feedback from students prove that investing in such initiatives is investing in local talent, future specialists, and economic development.

We firmly believe that industry-focused education and the promotion of the tooling and processing sector are key to building a strong, skilled, and future-ready local economy. Through these initiatives, young people not only gain insight into career possibilities but also develop a conscious approach to shaping their professional paths.
