MAT4EU Consortium Meets in Denmark for the First General Assembly
The partners of the MAT4EU project gathered in Esbjerg, Denmark, on 17–18 June 2026 for the first MAT4EU General Assembly Meeting, hosted by Plast Center Danmark. The two-day event brought together consortium members to review project progress, discuss ongoing activities, and define the next steps for achieving the project’s strategic objectives.
The meeting covered key activities across several work packages, including the progress of open calls under WP2 – Product Innovations Supporting European Strategic Autonomy and WP3 – Mastering Green and Digital Transformation. Partners also discussed evaluation processes, project timelines, and preparations for implementing selected projects.
A significant part of the agenda focused on strengthening collaboration within the Eurocluster ecosystem. Discussions addressed the identification of target international markets, peer-learning activities among clusters, training initiatives for European industry, communication and dissemination activities, and project management updates.
The second day was dedicated to WP4 – Go International, with partners reviewing the current state of the project’s internationalisation strategy and discussing next steps to develop international partnerships. The session highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation beyond Europe and creating new opportunities for European SMEs and industrial stakeholders operating in the advanced materials sector.
The General Assembly also included peer-learning sessions with other European industrial clusters, enabling participants to exchange best practices and discuss common challenges and opportunities related to innovation, internationalisation, training activities, and the implementation of open calls.
Beyond the formal programme, the meeting provided a valuable platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and strengthening relationships among consortium partners. The collaborative spirit and active engagement demonstrated during the General Assembly reaffirmed the consortium’s shared commitment to fostering innovation, supporting industrial transformation, and building a more resilient and internationally connected European advanced materials ecosystem.
