Poznan University of Technology is a renowned technical university with over a hundred years of tradition, employing over 1000
academic teachers and educating approximately 16000 students in over 30 fields of study. It conducts research in the field of: material and
mechanical engineering, civil and transport engineering and environment, mining and power engineering, as well as automation, electronics
and electrical engineering, chemical sciences, architecture and urban planning and management and quality sciences. Cooperation
between science and business takes place from the process of education in cooperation with enterprises, through research services,
to technology transfer and implementation of the results of scientific activity of PP employees in business practice.
The University has experience in the implementation of research and development projects with important partners both at home
and abroad, as well as in the implementation of projects independently or in consortia, including scientific and industrial ones. It has modern research infrastructure allowing it to take up challenges. It performs its tasks through dedicated and specialised units, such as the Technology Transfer Centre and the special purpose company Politechnika Innowacje.
