The Kielce University of Technology is the oldest higher education institution in the Świętokrzyskie region and the only public academic, technical school with the status of a technical university. The University provides research and scientific support for the development of modern industry in the Świętokrzyskie Region and a growing number of local small and medium sized business startups. A total of 136 laboratories and testing facilities, including five accredited labs dedicated to road materials, vehicle electrotechnology, light technology, computerised measurement of geometric quantities, scanning microscopy and X-ray microanalysis, with a wide range of world-class apparatus, enable high-quality research and study.

The fully equipped Centre for Laser Technologies of Metals (a joint unit of the University and the Polish Academy of Sciences) is unparalleled in pursuing research on the advancement of laser and plasma technologies within Poland. The laboratory facilities are upgraded and extended owing to numerous projects implemented by the Kielce University of Technology, i.a., two strategic projects that provide the maximum value for our University: – the CENWIS project – as a result of which a unique, interdisciplinary Research and Implementation Centre of Smart Specialization of the Świętokrzyskie Region (CENWIS) was opened and equipped with the most advanced R&D infrastructure in the world, the Świętokrzyski Laboratory Campus of the Central Office of Measures is a project aimed at establishing a Polish metrology centre in Kielce to provide professional learning facilities for students and research facilities for scientists from Poland and abroad.

It will provide services of the highest world standard, creating the opportunity for participation in European research programs
such as EMPIR. Close cooperation between University and the Central Office of Measures is a significant development opportunity for both our University and the entire Świętokrzyskie Region. It is an opportunity for interesting and ambitious work, internships, scientific collaboration and contacts of a national and international range.
