The goal of the Project is the management of rubber waste from used car tyres in the form of a filler in polymer composites. The waste which has been ground into a rubber powder of an average grain size less than 0,5 mm is combined with thermoplastic by injection moulding and with the porous polyurethane by vacuum casting. The composition of a newly created material will undertake optimization from the point of view of its share in the composition, mechanical properties, contents and the migration of the polycyclic aromatic compounds (i.e. PAH – polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons).
Duration of the Project: 1.05.2019 – 31.07.2021
Project budget: 1 049 750 PLN
UE co-financing: 839 850 PLN
The Project is carried out as part of the EUREKA Initiative.
